Privacy Policy

Competition Hunter is a private competition discovery and entry management tool used by its owner, Kyle. This page explains how its optional Gmail connection handles Google user data.

Gmail access and use

The Gmail connection requests only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly scope. With the owner's authorization, Competition Hunter reads competition-related email to classify and monitor messages, associate them with entries, and surface items for owner review and notification. Email does not automatically authorize competition submissions, claims, replies, or verification actions.

Storage and sharing

Message information and email evidence may be stored encrypted on Kyle's private server and in encrypted backups. Google user data is used only to provide Competition Hunter functionality. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with advertisers. Owner notifications may be delivered through the configured email and Telegram gateways.

Control and retention

Competition Hunter has no Gmail send, reply, archive, or delete capability. The owner can disconnect the mailbox in Competition Hunter and revoke access in Google Account settings. Disconnecting stops new Gmail access; existing evidence and encrypted backups may be retained under the application's retention and recovery procedures.
